Sunlightby ecdillonComment: there are some white spots on the lower left corner's leaves, but what a wonderful image, ellis! love the glow of the leaves and the way the light's hitting the branch with the black background. very nice composition.

Slippy Repairman.jpgby SJCarterComment: nice edit job! sounds lame, with all the amazing pictures you have in your portfolio, but this was the second image to draw my eye. love the fun composition and the slippy expression!

Hollowby SJCarterComment: i love this photo. the color tones work well, and i like what the grain is doing to your eyes. there's a fragility conveyed in this image that's really appealing, and a great contrast to that urban grunge thing going on. no criticisms here, it works for me. |

Keine Lustby SJCarterComment: great composition. like how the door provides a sort of negative space for the model (you!). the purple tone adds to the darkness, but i'm not so thrilled about what it does to the skin. like the grittiness, but if the goal is to convey an absence of desire, there's too much latent energy going on in the photo (imo). to me, the grain adds energy and the pose, looking off to the unseen, raises a lot of curiosity in me.
very groovy photo. |

Laine Triptych.jpgby DrAchooComment: i have to say, the middle image is not as strong as the end ones. hand, foot, arm/belly? i'd like to see the middle image be of a single element like the other two...just the elbow, or just the belly, or the bottom, or a dimple and corner of a smile...(in my opinion, of course!)
that said, the hand and foot shots are wonderful, with their softness and dof. very nicely done. |

Abridgedby gurlwithapenComment: i like the lines of this picture, how they go from upper right to lower left. it's the reverse of what one expects, and it jolts you into looking at the photo. there's the roof of one little car showing on the second bridge, which is a hair distracting to my eye. I like how the b&w pulls out the texture in this shot, too. |

trapped in the bubblesby suemackComment: this photo really appeals to me for some reason. i love the idea of that doll's face peering out from behind the bubble wrap...such a soft and unexpected image. |
