I recognize this fully. Some smoke from the cigarette and vapour from the coffee would have been nice. A couple of butts in the ashtray would have made it complete. Good use of black and white here.

Nice work playing around with a diffuse background. Shadows fall in a perfect harmony with the pieces of wood and enhance the entire composition. Adding it to my favourites!

Interesting idea with the border but somehow it doesn't work for me. Another suggestion is to switch the light on but don't use a bulb with too many watts!
