Bridal beadsby The EskimoComment: Too dazzling/busy. I like all the colours, but it's such a mishmash of shapes and shades to take in. This is one case where a mirrored surface didn't work. |

Salt Of The Earthby naomikComment: I love shots that actually say something to me. That man is holding a precious gift bestowed upon humanity. Well composed and a nice juxtaposition of flesh and salt. The only improvement I can imagine is having the background further away from the DOF. |

Big Men's Playgroundby KatheComment: LOL, where's the ATV's? It's a nice shot, less foreground with a *tad* more sky would have improved the shot. |

Antzby AlainComment: Wow, maybe it's because it's 5am, but it feels almost like I could fall in... Good framing and lighting, definitely original, and I just like it! Gotta hurry up and vote so I don't fall in :P |

Sugar Rushby biggusignoramusComment: Cool! It's a sugar action shot! Props on originality, like the framing and lighting, and it's just soooo cool!!!! |

Mulchby MinstrelComment: Woah! I've been assaulted with colour! I love the distinct edges of the brown mulch, red mulch and soil. It's almost like abstract art! I hope I could get this in a poster print :P The lighting's great too, but it's the colour and clear definition of the edges that really goes POW. |

Fly and Pollenby sabphotoComment: A non-sand/sugar/salt shot!!!! I like the framing and the subject, and the placement of the fly in the frame is perfect. It's too bad the background is all washed out; are we looking right into the flower? Props for originality! |

Time slips away...by miriam_mrbComment: This gets a grin outta me. Simple and classic. Nice framing, love the natural lighting and the monochrome, and that was the perfect moment to take the shot. Also, the juxtoposition of wood with the sand grains is really appealling to my peepers. |

Snail Prisonby PedxerComment: Um, interesting, yes, but I hope the snail escaped unscathed? Is that really salt surrounding that poor snail? I'm gonna vote and pretend that that's really sugar that can do no harm to the little guy. Ok, that said, I like the stark lighting given the (I hope pretend) subject matter involved. The backlit shell is really nice, and it throws his antennae into stark relief. |

Sugary Sweetby CLarson557Comment: Beautiful! This is another FAB strawberry shot! Only one other so far had this impact on my visual cortex. Love the lighting, love the set-up, love whatever the red granules are, love it! The only thing that *might* improve an already awesome shot is having it on an all-white background without the glass there. Mmmm, darn it, I'm salivating... |
