Dude, turn around...There's Your Apple!by ArcanistComment: I don't get it... I guess I'm having a blonde moment :P I'm guessing that the tail-lights and stop-lights really popping out like that are due to digital processing. What I like best is the expression on the guy's face: "Ya man, I got an apple." The crop-job is pretty great, too. |

Squeezeby ergoComment: COOL! I'm not really sure what to say... An expression of human physical strength with a humourous twist that's completely in keeping with the challenge. This is an absolutely marvellous shot... |

The Worst Case Scenarioby Zed PobreComment: *SHUDDER* Definitely an emotive shot and well-composed. I truly feel for whoever bit that apple, because I had the same experience once... *SHUDDER* |

Apple B&Wby theDEFComment: I love macro shots of vegetation and I LOVE greyscale! The 'horizon' is perfect, the lighting is great, and the fact that the tip of the stem is *almost* part of the focal field is truly commendable. |

contimplationby Man_Called_HorseComment: Don't eat it!!!! Puts me in mind of "Snow White" :P A nifty shot, and the colours really compliment one another (I'm guessing hue/saturation adjustments?). My only beef is it looks really staged. |

I Ate My Homework!!!by KathyComment: LOL! Amusing and creative for sure! It looks like macro wasn't used, and that may have improved the look of the apple, and an alternate light source could have been used to prevent flash on the apple. Thumbs up to my fellow amateur! |

Why me?by ShutterPugComment: That's hysterical! The only points of improvement I can think of are having the whole arrow in the shot (but I'm guessing it's attached to something so it stays on the dog's head) and maybe having it in greyscale. LOVE the forlorn look on the little guy's face, and makes the title more than appropriate. |

Hey.... What Are You Doing On My Perch?by DrakeComment: LOL! I'm getting quite a few laughs out of this challenge. Great concept and I like how the apple's red is echoed on the bird (a nuthatch?). Slight improvement would be to have the right edge of the shot a little further from the apple. The apple has more visual mass than the bird, so maybe even the right margin slightly larger than the left. |

through a tube of waterby pollComment: Very mod concept, but the bubbles (are they bubbles???) detract from the over-all feel of the shot. Certainly A for effort! It's still a well-composed shot, and if it weren't for the bubbles, I'd so have a poster-sized copy for my wall! (PS: I'm such a nut for deco, mod and psychedellic art :P) |
