Very nice composition. I like the colors/contrast. While this is clearily an old abandoned building, I am not sure the hard scoring DPC'ers would have done you justice. I myself like photos like this and would have scored you high.

I do at times get tired of seeing flowers in all the challenges - but only when I cannot imagine any possible way that they meet the challenge theme. This flower is actually a good photo for the Obsolete challenge.
I love the strong focus on the rose, and the blurred background. Gives a 3D type feel. The lighting is perfect as it accentuates the veins in the petals, and reflects off the curled dried out edges.

You have a beautiful shot here that you held back on entering due to the rants of others. Do not let the ranters stifle your creativity. I would have given you a 9 or 10 for this.

the only part of this photo that would have been better to fix is the dark smudge on the wall below the bell of the phonograph. Even with the smudge, I would have given this a strong 9 - excellent shot and very interesting. I can almost hear the music playing with sounds of static inter-mixed. :-)
