Slice of timeby marvinComment: ** Greetings from the Critique Club **
A bit soft in focus. In this case, a wider DOF might have worked better, at least to the extent of keeping all the digit of the clcok in focus. Lighting seems very good. Cropped / composed well.

Watch Your Step.by MackFlixComment: ** Greetings from the Critique Club **
An interesting entry. The kitty really gives meaning to an otherwise plain image. The DOF is good, but the angle makes it hard to discern where the one step ends and the second begins along the right side. The cat is perhaps the only thing that truly discerns this on the left.
The boards along the top of the image seem a bit too bright - perhaps from the time of day this was shot? Focus seems a little soft.

Portrait of a Lonely Pugby brianlhComment: awww - what a sweet old puggy. I just love the seniors. They have a special place in my heart. One of mine has his tongue sticking out all the time - he's 16 years old. |

Wooden bucketsby raflimaComment: ** Greetings from the Critique Club **
What a cute simplistic image. I love the little wooden buckets - and yes I can see by the construction of the handles on them they are indeed wooden. The lighting is cast in such a manner that it gradually fades out but not too harshly. I like that. The only objection I have is the cropping. The missing handle on the first bucket is a distracting feature.

The DOF given this scene is wonderful. I equally like the colors, focus, and leading lines. The people seem to be a distraction imho. As for meeting the challenge - keeping wood as the main subject, I don't see it here.
