Dark Spots....by AzCKellyComment: ** Greetings from the Critique Club **
I like the background, yet the angle the image is displayed makes it difficult to look at for very long. Almost as it confuses the mind somehow. The colors reflecting on the silverware are nice. I would have liked to see the focus improved. Cool idea overall - just needs a little more technical work.

Holiday Settingby mfairbanksComment: ** Greetings from the Critique Club **
The focus here seems to be on the lights, not the subject matter of Fork, Knife, Spoon. This might have faired better with me had the utensils been out in front, lights set back a bit, and a shallow DOF. This just seems too flat. You might also try shooting a shot like this from an angle instead of straight on to make it more interesting. I do think the selective desat was a nice touch. Your lighting worked out well too.

Finding Balanceby alien2thisworldComment: ** Greetings from the Critique Club **
An interesting take on this difficult challenge. While many people seem to dislike centered subjects, I find this works well here. The focus and DOF are well executed. The only problem I see with this is the overall darkness. It makes it hard to see what you were shooting. To be honest, it was not until I read your comments that I realized what you had done.

Creative Carvingby MontereykiddoComment: ** Greetings from the Critique Club **
What a cute, creative shot. I really liked it as it makes you laugh. I like shots that evoke emotions - whether it be laughter or tears.
Technical points - the colors are nice and crisp, but the focus is lacking. Not sure if you tried applying some un-sharp mask, but if not I would go back and try it. The white background is an excellent choice here. Composition is also executed well.

Warm on the Insideby alfrescoComment: JP - you're awesome. I love this shot. Had you entered this in free study, I would have scored you the same as your actual entry - the scale only goes to ten ya know.

Too late by BrinComment: Very powerful image. The emotion really flows from this.
I love the composition, the low angle, and the sunset. Everything comes together beautifully here.
