Week 16 - Pearby hajekaComment: The pear slices are beautifully sharp and pleasing minimal composition.
Side by side, the colour and black & white, and I am not sure if a comparison is really valid, depending upon actual edit & conversion - the strong yellow luminance has translated to harsh washout and awkward background gradient transition in black & white.

Dandylionby cogeroxComment: I like this characterization - beautiful.
the title appears also to be a characterization, but it may be these are described as a dandylion in California.

14.52 Dining alfrescoby MelethiaComment: A considerable emphasis on a perfect crop, may be too perfect - tight and to the point, conventionally editorial, (1) block of cement, (2) baggage, (3) figure eating - size of object/subjects increasing to a triangular result, beautifully emphasizing her facial expression. I would say possibly tighter on the left, to eliminate pull of the left plane on that block of concrete. Full frame may not be an option for me either, although alternatively, a looser, wider composition w/ room for a more air & environ may also have been suitable but certainly without the background shopper. |

Alternative dimensions (please take more then 3 seconds to view the picture)by OdedComment: The effect of combined planes of reality in the visual idea presented is good, an excellent image, a favorite in this challenge. 8. Alternative dimensions is enough title. Viewing instructions as subtitle for me contributes little if anything. Or worse, as previously noted, may be considered clutter, a patronizing plea or simply condescending. |

Dragon Treeby AliciaComment: A remarkable tree - I like the crown of blooms which float at the top of this amazing plant.
I had to find more on "The Del" and found this link - Hotel del Coronado - ouch, a resort, with rooms starting at Two Ninety Five a nite. Nice place though.
