Haunting Absenceby tyt2000Comment: mixed lighting grabs my attention....... in this vacant but ornate room. Nicely observed setting, and thoughtful composition with the light on and the chair facing a window indicating the "haunting" presence. |

Grey days; thoughts on the journey homeby e301Comment: Provocative image in that it forces exploration. Well made. A ghosted interior reflection layered on glass over the twilight lit view - a simple idea - contempletive - beautiful, thoughtful snap from your commuter routine, my favorite of the challenge. |

Gasolineby GringoComment: Careful, seamless and subtle (+ & - ?) saturation at luscious levels of intensity. A 1950's superrealistic view - a " Route 66" like roadside impression from the seat of H.G. Wells Time Machine. Tinged with nostolgia an icon of "Americana" - made real..... Accurate artifacts placed in a historical renovation - a Smithsonian exhibit - antique store - museum exhibit - where ever this display is located, it is unusuall -and the visual intrepretation wonderful. |

Competitionby GabrielComment: It might be inevitable that this image has come to exist on DPC. I am glad it was conceived and presented legitimately. The author is believable, sincere and honest about the work.
Appearing in Team Sports Action is appropriate. The field of play is blindingly evident - and really the only tangeble subject matter provided. It is enough to show. I am surprised It meets the challenge criteria in such a elementary, efficient and powerful way.
The beauty of the image is in the concept. It is site specific and cannot live any where else. Trivial or a novelty - maybe. It provides a thoughtful aesthetic in a sophisticated graphic format - the field. Presented with but one colour the exploded field fills & spills, ultimately flattens and becomes essentially invisible. Like the mythic angel Gabriel - unreal and invisible but present. I like this image, I accept it and welcome it.

Competitionby GabrielComment: Oh cool.... a DPChallenge "uniform....... " fits the challenge idea in a abstract way. The idea has cropped up in the forums some where in the past... but never has been submitted that I have seen. |

sternby brunasComment: Close likness to.... Nurse Mildred Ratched. Interesting colour, but to me stern may have attributes which have cooler tones. High score for this hooded face. |
