I like the concept a lot; darkness is so significant when you're a child! The book is the perfect choice, and I love including the flashlight. I wish that the picture looked a little less staged: the book looks positioned by an adult for the photo. I assume that's part of a bed that I'm looking at, but I would have preferred more clues as it took me a while to figure that out. Perhaps including more of the bed frame would have helped? Good try.

I wish I understood this. I suspect it is simply my ignorance that I don't recognize these objects at all. Nonetheless, I love the image. The contrast of textures is beautiful, and the lighting on the metallic objects are great as well. I'll check back when the challenge ends to see what they are. Great job!

I love this picture. I think that the composition is beautiful, the light & shadows wonderful and I think it meets the challenge well (although there seems to be some in the forums who have a fairly strict interpretation of their own, so I'm assuming you may not be doing as well as I think you ought to.)
