Rural Sunsetby shutterpuppyComment: graphically interesting but could have used either balanced fill in flash or a reflector for the bottom half of the image. |

canby fannybComment: I looked over the submissions for the mundane challenge and in my opion (take that as you may) this one would win in my book. Nice clean lines, very simple, the varying degrees of grey tones are working and the overall image itself is just beautiful. I did notice the little jagged edge on the upper and lower lip of the can that someone else had mentioned. I don't know what the cause of that it is but if you can get rid of that the image would be a ten in my opion (again, take that as you may) and I almost never give out tens. Good work. |

Making a new breed.by CamComment: This is both disgusting and oddly interesting at the same time. At least on the monitor I am viewing your image from this photograph seems a bit flat. Increase in tonal range / contrast would create more depth within the image. |

Redirectionby pcodyComment: I think that when putting text within an image you must take into account all of the text that can be read within the photograph. Upon first glance of the words Redirection of Input and Output and then seeing the disassembled mouse there a many layers of meaning within this photograph, but because the viewer is then aloud to read some of the paragraph and can see that it is about something totally different, you then wonder why do you have a parts of mouse on a keyboard. They just don't fit together in this sense. Through a different comopositional set up if you could have somehow had the words in the paragraph out of focus and just the Redirection... in focus this would have been a more compelling image. |

Acid Rain Examinedby ellamayComment: I think that you are forcing us (the viewer) to see acid rain through the wording of the title instead of doing it photographically. Outside of this challenge this is a good photo, although similar shots like this have been done before, but I think you could have done more with this. |

My Matrixby oskarComment: I like the photograph but not the title. Sometimes it's better to just have untitled because giving an image a title that isn't quite necessary can lead a viewer to interpret an image the wrong way or in some situations make it to easy for them, in a sense letting them off the hook and not forcing them to decipher what is happening within the image. Anyway, nice image. |

Tapestry of Lifeby KonadorComment: I like the composition of the photograph, the cropping and the tone of image. I think it captures the idea of the challenge embodies. The only thing I find somewhat distracting is the glare coming off of the glass, but I don't know if that could have been avoided and you still have gotten that angle, even despite that good job good job |

What is it?by setechaComment: I just have two notes. One, every little thing within a photograph gives some sort of clue as to what is going on within the image. In this case you have different color tones/ lighting situations converging onto your objects within this photograph. I am slightly confused as to what your lighting strategy is supposed to convey within this photograph. Some questions you might want to ask yourself are does the lighting distract, confuse, or add to what I am trying to convey within this image. Secondly, as far as meeting the challenge requirements I think that this entry is bit weak. I think the idea could have been pushed further and the composition could have been thought out a bit more carefully. I hope you understand that my comments are ment with the best of intentions, and at the end of the day it's all about learning.
P.S. If you feel that these comments have helped in some way and you want to ask any more questions you can email me here www.como@whatisthis.com
Sorry for writing so much =).
