Sands of Timeby TelehubbieComment: Very nicely done. The wind-blown sand leads the viewer's eye through the entire shot, sopping by each important element. The lighting is beautiful, wspecially with the highlight that separates the sand background from the sky. I'd really like to see the rest of the plant's shadow. While you have followed the rule fo thirds to a T, chopping off the shadow leaves me hanging just a little bit. Overall, and 8 in my little world of voting. |

Yashica Manby annahComment: Anna, this was one of the best shots in the challenge, in my little opinion. I feel the placing on the site next door was more fitting, The tonal range you have captured here is close to perfect. The exposure is super crisp and the composition is very well-done! I've looked this one over many times, and I can't find anything to correct. Very nice work! Message edited by author 2006-04-28 09:19:38. |

Rear Windowby annasenseComment: This is one of my favorites thus far. With a CP filter, the sky would have really came alive and made this one much better. |

Wendy2by kevrobertsonComment: I really like her eyes in this one. Its like looking straight into her soul. I think that a square crop, taking off some of the arm at the bottom, will make this one even better. |

Wendyby kevrobertsonComment: The bright light on the forehead is rather overpowering, making her eyes and eyebrows appear to be sunken. Also, the sleeve is a bit distracting. I'd like to see more lighting to fill the shadows and to bring out those catch lights that you have started there. Nice composition and a great shot with just a few adjustments. |
