Follow the Leader by DrAchooComment: Very nice macro capture and nice addition of the lady bugs. Your focus is crystal clear here and the composition is good, too. I'd like to see a deeper blue on the background for this one, as it would really serve to make the yellow in the flower pop. I think a small curves adjustment would have served to do just that. |

rural farming sale!!....big bargainsby focus57Comment: This shot definitely has some interest to it, but the size is far too small to hold the viewer very long. I find myself struggling to make out the various elements in the shot. I think that a much closer vantage point, perhaps from the meadow itself, would have helped a great deal. While the subject (the goods for sale) is a bit too centered for my liking, the overall composition flows well with the town disappearing over the hill and the goods stretching to the bottom corner of the frame. The trees at the bottom are also distracting. Again with the sizing, its really hard to tell if everything is focused or not. Excellent idea and nice coloring, but definitely some room for improvement. |

Schoolingby rexComment: Very nice! I think this is one of the coolest entrances on all the aquariums I've been to. This one may not fare well outside the Atlanta voters, but here it has been a media frenzy from day 1. It absolutely fits the challenge. I also like the exposure that you achieved here. The guy in the left corner is nicely focused while the fish give the shot great motion. It makes want to look through the frame and see what the fishies are running from. Nicely seen and well captured. By the way, you aquarium exposure is very nice. This isn't easy light to overcome. I bet Leroy nailed you on the title. Those pesky photojournalism majors. |

Rope and Lakeby robshookphotoComment: I like the clarity that you achieved here, but the green hue of the rope and beach confuses my little mind. Was it a colored flash gel, ot setting the WB to capture the background scene? Either way, nicely composed and exposed. |

Topanga Canyonby hopelessoptimistComment: Very nice idea, but I think that she gets lost on the magnitude of the scene around her. You lighting is terrific and focus is super-crisp, but I'd like to see a little more of her in the frame. I really like the concept of the beautiful, well-dressed lady up in the rugged mountains. Very nice. |

Going for a Spinby kteachComment: I really am fond of these photos, and I am looking to take one of my own. Great coloring and sky capture, but the buildings have lost some clarity. Not enough to matter much. Nice capture. |

First Communionby twm122Comment: Nice exposure and cool composition, but the focus seems to be a little off. I know that its hard to control everything, but that lone white candle on the benh is a bit distracting. Great tone and coloring. |
