Hi Jae,
First, your shot fits the challenge quite well and with the comments you recieved, it hit the emotions of many DPers. Which is always a plus.
Your pup reminds me of mine, its eyes say "I'm ready to fetch a ball or play". That's the kind of capture that makes your shot so good.
I think the coloration for this challenge, it works well with the "Propaganda" challenge. It reminds me of one of the old cold war shots. This is also very good.
Your framming and cropping are good and works well with the the cage. The tail really modifies the shot.
I see only one negative, it appears that you needed just a tad more contrast, so the eyes could be seen a little better. This is minor and strictly my thoughts. Another shot your could have done and would have even a stronger emotional charm, would to have your pup lying down looking up pathetically, but that would be hard. My dogs wouldn't do that.
I like your shot and hope this helps a bit.
