Favorite Fishing Holeby SonifoComment: This photo is an "almost but not quite" picture. I like the idea just fine, but I think it would have been stunning if the boy was angled a bit differently (the pole too) and a full black sillhouette. As it is the lighting isn't quite light enough or dark enough. |

Summertime...And the flowers are dyin'by dr rickComment: I can't really say that this doesn't meet the challenge but it just doesn't grab me. It's a perfectly acceptable photo but it lacks a wow factor or a common thread for me to grasp as the viewer. Perhaps if the flowers were more interesting...maybe its that they are so green which seems antithetical to death? |

A day on the beachby AlexysComment: Definitely hit the challenge but the shot lacks a focal point. I'd like something to latch on to. A colorful umbrella or an intersting person. Or something. Kind of feels like a lot of background but no subject. |

Weatheredby autoolComment: I can feel the heat. Nice work. I really like the placement of the horizon I feel like I'm standing at the fence myself. |

Take Time to Follow the Pathby bsaluComment: I don't care for your title it doesn't help me relate the shot to a season. Not a bad shot though. It feels like summer to me. In my mind the boy on his trike correlates to a farmer on a 4-wheeler, driving out to check irrigation or mend a fence or something. |

Beating the Heatby ToddhComment: I love this shot. Title, everything about it works for me. This is the kind of shot I want to take some day. I'm guessing this is done with a DSLR. |

Summer Hummingbirdby laurenrhaeComment: I don't really understand why you put summer in the title. Doesn't affect my vote but are there such things as "summer" hummingbirds? Aren't they just regular hummingbirds? Alternatives: Summer Guest; Hummingbird; |
