The Old Barnby BigSmilesComment: Awesome colors, but they look oversaturated. This is still a good pic, definitely one of the better ones IMO. Nice work |

Reykjavik ´s midnightby sjonniComment: The left side of the sky looks like its pixelating a little. Great colors though and overall a really nice picture. Very strange for midnight. I don't know if I could get used to that without a few sleepless nights. |

Path Through The Woodsby jodiecostonComment: I originally gave this a 5, but going back thru my stuff, I am moving it up some. I really like the way this looks like a vintage photo, but somewhat clearer. I think the thing that really gives it some character is the tree on the left leaning into the center of the frame. Nice work with this one and best of luck |

Another Day without the Dryer by SonifoComment: This is a really nice shot. Its sorta pastoral, days of yore with some shades. Looks like some days without the lawnmower either :) Mine's like that too right now. This has been by far my favorite of the challenge. It's cute, pretty candid, with a great tone and mood. Very well done |

flightby deceptiveComment: The basic black background really makes this a unique picture. These birds are seen 99% of the time on blue sky or in seascape type shots. This is almost a perfect stop action shot. What really makes this picture is the framing. I might have flipped this photo about the horizon to make it seem headed up instead of down. I think moving from left to right is important from the mind's natural perspective. Nice work. |

Death on the Beachby kretsComment: This is a great candidate for a duotone, no matter what the challenge. I think it really adds a lot to the mood of the image which is cold, morbid, and sad also. The sand appearing black is really showing some great texture as well. The shallow DOF is very good as selling this pic and also removing anything unsightly from focused view. Well done! |

The Fast & the Furiousby kebmod54Comment: I think the formula to a 10 is simple here... include all of the second horse and I think I'm compelled to give you a 10. Great texture in the track, great stop action, I love the framing of the lead horse, but cutting off the second horse hurts. Nice shot. |

Study in Form and Toneby GeneralEComment: I guess I don't get the form part to this picture. I think it's about an 8 to 10 year old boy judging by the hands. Maybe a little older. The tone is pretty good. But the form part makes me wonder what the photographer was trying to accomplish in this shot. It looks like half a sit up, or someone just clunked him on the head. There's not much flow to the form, the framing is too tight and his elbow has bent right off the screen on the left side. |

New to the Worldby sylandrixComment: I like the soft look to this photo. Diffusion filter? If so, what one... I must know as I'm in the market for one that does this. My softness in my photos comes from PS (not challenge photos of course). The cat is average cute. It has a peculiar look to it but I can't tell you why exactly. The framing is too tight where my mind says "big" to the cat without knowing its size exactly. generally "big" and "cute" are hard to find in the same sentence. I'd have preferred to see it much smaller in the frame. \"small\" and \"cute\" are a little more apt to be uttered in the same breath. Just feeling long-winded today..... |
