With the title of River Rat, I would have shown more of the river. The house is very interesting. I would suggest taking advantage of the 640 pixel limit for size. I'm really squinting to see the detail.

Not too bad. I might have veared a little farther away from the symetry by moving to the right just a touch. You handled the contrast pretty good on this though.

Not enough contrast. The ground and building seem to run together. There was a lot more lattitude left to lighten this one up a little.

Okay, I'm guessing you live somewhere close to another DPC'er. I've seen this in another photo. But I do like this view much better. This really is just an awesome sight. The color is good and so is the contrast. I wouldn't have put the tree dead center though. A good photo though.

I don't think the fisheye works well for this. I like the building though and you did a good job balancing the light trim with the darker brick.

So close. I think if you would have chosen a different time of day to shoot this, it would have been a lot better. As it stands, the patchiness of the sun is distracting. I also might have tried to move a little to the right to try and chop out the tree on the left side.

Very soft focus. The building is too centered. It might have looked better if you would have moved a little to the right so that the peak would have been in the first 1/3 of the photo.
