Melanieby JessiComment: I like the grain. I also think you did a great job editing it. I can't explain why it didn't score better; I don't understand voters... |

Dreams of Freedomby freakin_hilariousComment: I thought for a while on this image trying to think of what the heck was going on. I wasn't able to return while voting - sorry for that - and to comment. I figured out that I don't need to know what, who, where, or anything. I just need to appreciate it for what it is. I love the echo of the blacks and the shapes here. I love your post processing. I love what I can't see and what I think I see. Beautiful image... |

Gentle Soulby JutildaComment: I'm thrown a little by the shadowed border but I think the image itself is wonderful, particularly the colors and the touch of blur/glow. |

Zig-zag lifeby ZigomarComment: Wow. You know, a train adds even more interest to this shot. Ignore the score - this is an amazing image, though under-appreciated by the DPC masses. Its not a sunset. Keep the colors - they add to the chaos and the real life feeling. Maximally underrated, you honestly deserved better. Maybe if some of the voters stopped and looked and actualy thought about it for a while, they would see the beauty... |

apples and dandelionsby timfythetooComment: It really surprises me (no, honestly it doesn't any more) that this ended up so far below all those lifeless, over saturated, landscapes. this was one of the top 10 images of the competition. Votes value pretty over sublime. Your notes hit it right on the head. This is the perfect edit of a perfect image. Keep on - I much prefer your take on the world than the DPC consensus. |

Old Redby Yo_SpiffComment: Actually, I like it and its cartoonish appearance. It gives it tension - the old imposing castle meets scooby doo so to speak. Its funny - DPC voters tolerate cartoonish landscapes and interiors but not often buildings. Or maybe I'm just odd and find beauty in the contrasts. I like this better than most that placed higher... |
