The dog and its manby the99Comment: this image made me laugh. thank you. I have no doubt about what the subject is - the action and movement apparent in the image allows for no other subject. Your use of timing with the lighting situation really helps because it limits your color palette to reduce any distraction. Oh, and it looks like a girl. 8 bump to 9 because I enjoy it so much. |

Lost Without by RoeeRozenComment: Like this. Like the tones used. I have one similar. Great mood. I think the in focus foreground really adds a lot to the image. So far,t he best I've seen with regard to being missed focus and being compelling. And finally, a decent title. 9 may bump later. bumped to 10. |

Down by the Bay...by MagnumphotographyComment: Not at all fond of the colors here. But I really like the use of missed focus. The title works with the image to promote the carefree feeling of the work. well done 9 |

Last days of Summerby InnaNComment: I love this. There is a sense of joie de vivre. The missed focus works perfectly to make the subject compelling. probably one of the best in the challenge. Composition well done. 10 |

Looking skywardby Yo_SpiffComment: I like the composition of this, though I'm not sure the missed focus makes the image or the subject more compelling. In fact, I'm not quite sure what the subject is. 6 |

Big Red Barnby libertyComment: Even in focus I'm not sure this would be a compelling image - out of focus nothing is gained. |

Rulerby marcusvdtComment: I love the processing you did and the tones are wonderful. But I wonder at the composition, at how the lines seem to be randomly placed in the frame. The base lines (looks like the back of a guitar) lead me off an abyss at the back. There is a beautiful curve, but its strength is over powered by the strong diagonal of the tape measure so the curve just kind of dies back at the abyss. The diagonal crosses in front of me, blocking me rather than leading me into the image. I seem to be entering the image from the lower right, where the strong black spot is and where the lines are straight forward and I don't think that is where you intended me to be. Hope that makes sense... |
