Bad Hair Day? L'Oréal Paris hair solutions.by kosmikkreeperComment: Great choice of subject, Very droll. The straw adds much. The placement of the head seems awkward. I wonder whether the photo might not have been improved by moving it farther left to strengthen the negative space. Or if it would have been better to move it to the right to eat up some of that space. |

Report Animal Abuse and Neglect 1-800-SAVE-A-PETby ElemmennopeComment: When I saw this photo, I'm afraid all I could think about was "Unsharp Mask." It is very effectively framed, and features an expressive model. I suppose there is even good argument for intentionally blurring the wood to help us focus on the dog's eyes; even knowing it's wrong, I wanted to see more texture in that 83% of the photo that was not the dog. |

by timmiComment: Quite beautiful. If one insists on its being a photographic representation of rocks and water, one might insist that the photo is oversaturated; but I like the gold and violet tones you've chosen to accentuate. |

A Dream in Colourby mocabelaComment: Only a small portion of abstracts at this site go out on a limb, but this one does. And it's a gem. |

Future Pilot by SonifoComment: Very retro. I really like the post production treatment of it in your print Flight 2 giving it: a grainy and slightly out of focus quality, a golden glow, and a sort of undefinable edge. It's an instant classic. |

Another Day without the Dryer by SonifoComment: I am in awe at this photo. It skates so close to the edge. It could easily have been a facile knockoff of a bad photo-album shot from the early fifties - notwithstanding the impactful placement of the camera, the subjects and two sheets. But it is animated by the three people who enjoy each other's good company. Wow. |

Dusty Roads by SonifoComment: Wow! That's a great shot. I love how the road winds its way through it, disappearing and reappearing in a different place. The young person is perfect. Perfect placement, perfect 'costume' perfect exposure. As a newbie, I have to ask whether you used any special technique to keep the subject's back from being underexposed - flash, dodging, etc. Thanks. |
