keyword: purpleby iconsueComment: That's quite a costume! The photo is sharp where it needs to be. The colors are good, The composition is good, with the subject perfectly framed. It's evidently taken at a parade or public festival otherwise the unfortunatly placed elbow and shoulder would be elsewhere. |

Nerdby GordonComment: I like several aspects of this photo very much, yet the photo doesn't quite work for me. I like this shot as an experiment. The frames are really interesting. The subject has a warm and glowing smile. The background is a pleasing complementary color and is nicely out of focus.
I'm afraid those painted nails belie the title, and so do the subject's 'all thumbs' use of the calculator and her engagement with the photographer. These first seem like problems with the title more than with the photo. But I think the weakness is that for the reasons we've mentioned we don't understand why such a pretty and evidently well adjusted young woman has all these frames stacked on her head. |

Kiwiby PixelstateComment: I suppose it's been done a hundred times and will be done hundreds of times more, because there really is a curiously attractive 'stained glass' quality to juicy fruits - especially kiwis when treated this way. |

Join the Red Hat Societyby AJFIComment: I like the sense of whimsy. The color combo is exquisite. The composition is strong. Lighting and exposure spot on. |

"Camouflage"by sfarrell23Comment: My first impression is that there is no there there. But one of my complaints about this site is that we voters too frequently miss subtle beauties.. The texture of the grass and the yellow flowers here are great positives. And the rabbit is well framed. The photo has a cluttered look which might be ameliorated by the removal of several sticks, most notably the one just to the right of the rabbit and the one springing from the center at the bottom and going halfway across the image. The exposure range pushes the limits for digital cameras and It would be nice if even the leaves above the rabbit were in focus. I think with all these problems solved it could be a solid photo, though I think it would still be a little to subtle for 'stock photograhy.' |
