Very funny. The seemingly endless woodwork decking works well for this photo. The subjects are perfectly placed, and the colors of the clothing work perfectly. I'd prefer it if the photographer seemed a little more invisible - if the subjects' gazes all were parallel with the dog's. Nice shot.

No question that it meets the challenge. It's atmospheric, but my impression is that the boat is just a little too weak a focal point and the haze is just a little too monotonous.

Composition is inspired, beautiful, clever. The result is quite dramatic. I wonder whether the strong white reflection in the shell unnecessarily draws our eyes from the subject; and whether it could be cropped out without ruining the spacial strengths of the photo.

Please forgive me for being so bold as to suggest it, but would Jasmine and Gold be a better title? Jasmine is fragrant, rare, fleeting, expensive, remote, highly desirable, feminine, beautiful. Gold is solid, permanent, expensive, highly prized, feminine, beautiful. And the photo does a great job of suggesting their strong symbolic resemblances. I'm afraid 'Sales Event' conveys to me a big rambling mouldering or temporary structure that smells of mold and dung at which herds of livestock or semi-trash are traded. What's wrong with this image?

Jewelry with a purpose

Strong image to tap into the subconscious of the utilitarian majority. Great choice of model - someone naturally attractive but not self-consciously so or over-primped. Lighting is beautiful and so is DOF. I even like that we do not see the eyes.

I think the strong qualities of this photo are very subtle and understated. Hope it does well.
