leave me aloneby speaseComment: Super. I love the expression. Occasionally a perfect title will really make a photo shine; that's the case here. It appears that the lighting created a yellow cast to the photo. Normally I find this quite objectionable; but in this cas it warms the photo immensely and strengthens is much. |

Just another floralby rjpatComment: As photos of daylilies taken in-situ this one is a very nice example. It is helped along by the perfect DOF. Nice detail in the almost white petals. And I like the way you gave it plenty of space. (Looks like it could be Ice Carnival, and I can almost smell the perfume.) |

Happy Aloneby Joey LawrenceComment: Most ot the time one takes exception black chains running right through the middle of a subject's face, yet in this case the daring move makes the photo - possibly by drawing our attention to the expressive eye and mouth. This is a powerfully beautiful photo. I do really wish the two trees in the background somehow were not there - they really distract from that great black head of hair. |

Time to leave the nest...by sajinComment: Great composition - I really love the almost mirrored effect. DOF is perfect. It's a mere quibble, but I wonder if the photo might not be a bit better without the two stray feathers at the left edge. |

...is flexible hours?by XileboComment: A great subject, great expression. The lighting is perfect, even the subtle kick added by the fill flash. Great Shot. |

Symbol of... by kosmikkreeperComment: This was an advanced editing challenge? I wonder whether this eagle might not prefer to be depicted without the strands of slobber? Otherwise, a compelling shot. |

Up, Up, and Away!by bvoiComment: The splash behind the airborne child does suggest unusual powers of levitation - very funny. I wish the background were less cluttered. |

Escaping The Ordinaryby annahComment: Nice contrasts between wavy and smooth, liquid and solid, white and black, life and lifeless. Great framing, nice and daring use of negative space. |

Going My Wayby bucketComment: Wow, cute subject, great expression. DOF is perfect so is lighting and focus. There's a rule about 'not chopping a person off at a joint' which I think might apply here. There's also one I heard first at this site about 'always showing the feet unless it's a head shot' In any case, the more I look at the photo, the more I miss those feet. It's a quibble, but I wonder if the photo would not be stronger with the road travelling just a tad more diagonally in he photo? |
