Untitled (Peas and Black Calla)by betsypdxComment: Great shot and excellent colors. I wonder if maybe the crop should have moved the peas a little more into it. Not to the center of course, I'd just like to see the rest of that big one on the top right. |

A Peas Offeringby LN13Comment: There will be no PEAS ...until there is CHEESE.
How can there be PEAS when CHEESE is denied us?
Every human being deserves to know the pleasure of CHEESE and PEAS UNITED.
Sorry...
I'm having way too much fun voting in this challenge.
This is a truly well done shot - good lighting, DOF, focal point. Very nice
Seriously though, peas floating in a bowl of warmed-up cheese wiz... It'll put hair on ya. |

Precious Foodby h2Comment: I like this. I wonder how it would look strung around a lovely neck in a black dress - maybe with a pea earring just visible at the top? Peas as jewelery. Cool. |

Imagine Whirled Peasby jemisonComment: OK, I was hungry, but this took it away. Not that I don't like the shot - It's a cool idea. Just the idea of peas turned baby-food... ick. I really like the two that escaped. They give the shot a clever point of interest. |

Up Closeby elsapoComment: Great idea and good bokeh effect. I think your DOF is a little too tight, making the edges blurry. Since there is little detail on the focused surface, it looks like it's not as sharp as I think it really is. |

pod ridersby IreneMComment: Wow. I shouldn't vote on this when I'm hungry...
Really nice shot. |

Cooking One Pea at a Timeby pipsqueakComment: Good idea. You might want to try this with a little fill light on the pea. It's the subject of the shot and is a little dark. Hard to do though I know. Maybe a little post-process dodge? |

new dudes in townby gocComment: Nice idea. I like the DOF. But I think the contrast is a little sharp. Still a god pic. |

Relationshipsby moniepennyComment: I really like this one. The deep DOF draws the attention to the guy just enough so we see that he is looking into her eyes while she looks away into the camera. He has eyes only for her, while she seems a little aloof - and yet she leans into him.
Maybe I'm seeing more than was intended, but I have a literature degree. we see everything whether the author intended it or not.
Either way, this is a very good cross-over image (between portrait and candid). Keep shooting. |
