Another one of the great artistic images in this challenge. And a photographer that needs to be congratulated for having the courage, and good sense to submit this in a challenge filled with the usual eye-candy. This and the images like it are breaths of fresh air in the highly perfumed world that is DPC... and while perfume can be nice, when it's all you get, those breathes of fresh air are the best thing one can ever smell. Love it... breathing it in!. :)

The image alone is good... not great, but good... but when combined with the title, this becomes a great, and very powerful image. Confronting, uncomfortably so perhaps. Kudos to you for the courage to submit a photo like this in a challenge dominated by DPC eye-candy. Bravo.

Very nice image... reminds me of Lord of the Rings for some reason... the trees and the warm light perhaps. Nice detail, but could have been just a little sharper (IMHO), and the image feels unbalanced... keep wanting to tilt my head to the right.

Nice clouds and colour... but there's just not enough of a focal point, a subject, to keep the interest. Yes... it's lovely, lush foliage... but there's no story. Had there been a person, and animal, a building, in the foreground amongst this sea of green, you'd have been onto something REALLY good. Also, there appears to be a bit of haloing around some of the the trees, and a section of cloud that's overblown.

The border on this one spoils this shot for me. It's a good shot, but the border is just a major distraction... and I'm usually a bit partial to a good border...

The image itself, trying to ignore the border, is good. Detail and colour are good. The subject looks uncomfortable and looks poorly posed, rather than "fleeing". Also, find the chandelier a bit of a distraction... but even with these minor issues, I think the biggest thing that is going to hurt this in voting is THAT BORDER!

Just re-read this before hitting the "Add Comment" button and it might come off a bit harsh. Sorry... I actually quite like the photo, it's just this could have been great if not for a few little issue (which I've hopefully pointed out).

Very nice... love the segmentation... the use of a single, centered item in the lower part of the fram... the fact that its minimalism, yet you can see the grains of sand. Would be a wonderful addition to an office or hallway wall.

What a wonderful image... wish I was there to experience this, but your photo does a great job of taking me there. The detail, the colour... superb. Love the use of the vignette and DOF... brings the focus on the dude up front, but leaves enough of the others to help tell the story. Excellent job.
