Ostseebad Sellinby GuGiComment: Great shot, G. The blues in the sea and sky make the colorful lights that outline the bath house stand out beautifully. This is one of my favorites of yours. Gurry's comment below made me realize how sad I will be to miss the lady with the glasses on your front page. But this is a great addition to that page!
Oops, editing because of course the glasses can remain as your profile picture :-) Message edited by author 2006-11-29 06:41:20. |

cat0002.JPGby mkComment: I like this one best of the two. Yawning is such hard work ;-) I think I like it best because of the expression and also those two sharp chompers. Not sure I'd want to be the one to wake up this kitty. |

From a Modern Tourist's Perspectiveby XileboComment: Very pretty lighting... so golden! I would love to visit Jordan someday. You've shown me such a beautiful place. Might be nice to see the boy in front of one of the pillars so he stands out a little more, but I'm really glad he's in the photo. He adds a lot of interest to an already super interesting spot. The exposure is perfect. |

Seams? or Seam Free? Nylons: 1955by rjksteschComment: I'm usually not crazy about added grain, but here it works really well. I love your pose here! The comments below saying that this could be straight out of a Sears catalog are spot on. The curtain behind you is just perfect. Good job, teammate! |

Jumping Into The Showerby EssAreDubyaComment: What's this doing way back here?! I gave you an 8, which is quite a bit higher than my average vote. I think you met the challenge perfectly and the subject angle gives a nice dynamic feel to the image. I'm glad you got the comment about the halo - that's something I missed when I viewed this during voting, and maybe it explains the score a little. But overall, I think this is a cool shot. The water drops are strong and fun to look at - hope your camera was okay! |

her point of viewby ursulaComment: Ah, Ursula, I really liked this one. I didn't give it the top-top score, but a 6, even though I probably should've gone even higher. The thing that caused me to vote it lower than 7 or 8 is already covered by comments below, that being mainly the eyes (even though maybe the circles are part of the point!), and the not-so-subtle transition from the sharpness of the hand to the rest of the body. The thing I really, really liked is the concept that meets the challenge spot on. I also like the lighting on the hand - very striking! Anyway, good job on an image that scored much lower than I would've guessed. |

Circular perspectiveby MelethiaComment: Nice hotel you're staying in there, Deb. What a great shot this is. I voted around 80% before I fell asleep. Yours must've been in the 20% I missed. I love how transparent the walls look, nearly giving the feeling of the staircase being free-standing in the sky. Way to go with another top 20!! |

Archviewby MattOComment: Matt, congratulations on the top 20 and especially the personal best! I was one of your 6 10s, thought this would ribbon for sure. The processing is amazing - really, really well done. You go... keep it up, and there will be a ribbon on your page soon! |

Seagull over NYC.by petrakkaComment: I really think this is a great composition. The sky is very dramatic and I like how the city is dwarfed to the point of being a border for the sky and gull. However, the haloing around the gull is the first thing I saw. It's pretty distracting. Bet this would look great with a little less sharpening on the bird, although the sky looks perfectly sharpened as it is. |
