Bright Idea!by crabappl3Comment: Nicely captured. I like the top right corner of this - the silver screw mount, the bulb and red halo. Possibly even the top bit of the plastic with just the writing on. I'd like to crop it to just include those elements... The rest of the plastic bit does nothing at all for me although if it has to be included the composition is certainly more interesting than it would have been centred. 6, Kavey |

It's all about connections ...by CreativeFlyPhotoComment: The DOF in this ROCKS and the combination of blacks, greys/ silvers and that blue are just perfect. Not 100% sure of cropping - something about very top left of frame feels not quite right - but overall this is an excellent shot and much more than just a photo of a bit of kit... 9, Kavey Sun 24th bumping to 10... Budget Moonlandingby jimmythefishComment: I like this a lot though I am not sure I can explain why - I set it at 7 but it stood out from all my other 7s and I realised it's up with my 8s. I like the dark background - very much the no atmosphere = black space sky... I love the light and shadow across the lego floor - what a wonderful texture... and the composition with the man central but the photo not because of the "moon rock stuff" and his shadow... I'd like just a very little more light on him and everything else just as it is... 8, Kavey |

Hornetby MiekaComment: Beautiful photo, though I do think the composition works better in portrait cropping out the left and right empty areas. Good detail, quite like the muted colours. Kavey |

Astronomically Smallby indigo997Comment: Beautiful photo - great colour, great play between light and dark. Lovely sheen and textures. If I were voting this week this would be a 9 or 10. Kavey |

Bodsleddingby indigo997Comment: One of the most fascinating, creative and unique photos I have seen on DPC. I keep coming back to it - serenity, deception, sinister, light, dark, joyous, deathly - it spins my mind. Love it! 10, Kavey |

Early Morning Torchlight by SimmsComment: Wow this is a stunning shot - what with various last minute crises last week I didnt have the chance to even look through the entries let alone vote - but I know this would have been a 10 from me. The shafts of light come across as good dreams breaking through the darkness don't they? Congrats on first place! |

Aftermathby HBunchComment: Hi Heather (or did I guess wrong about who took it?) I like the idea behind this - it's interesting to show wrath without showing the perpetrator him/herself. Just the results of that wrath instead. I'm only giving it a 5 overall because I don't think it's as strong technically as it is conceptually. I don't like the background, and it's shadowy lower area, the focus is too soft for my tastes and the soft toy seems a little too blown out. I do like the composition and the emotive nature of the image. Kavey |
