Mounds of Colorby decoteauComment: I like the colours and light reflections in the glass. I think this shot could benefit from a little application of the rule of thirds - either a horizontal third given to the black background and 2 thirds to the glass or the other way around. I'd suggest the former which gives more prominence to the glass. |

Red Reflectionsby MarionHComment: I love the composition of this - the two spheres infront of a larger circle, and surrounded by that wonderful crackled texture.
Nicely lit - adds mystery to it.
Border doesn't add anything at all IMHO.

Got Till It's Gone by arnitComment: Beautifully captured and the abstract shapes of the liquid are wonderful - but overall composition of the image isn't as striking as the content, for me.

Broken and Coldby timecreepsbyComment: An image I like very much - VERY atmospheric - moody, dramatic and tells a story - but only a small part of it - great perspective and DOF. I like the stark location though the taller building at back left bothers me - I don't think the image works with it cropped either because you;d lose the wonderful big shard in the foreground. Would rotating your position a few inches to exclude it have worked or was there something else in the background out of shot at the right?

Light bulbby marboComment: This is superb - it\'s like my husband\'s entry to Technology but better! (LOL, sorry Pete!)
I absolutely love how you\'ve got the brightness of the filament, all the smaller details AND the pale outline of the bulb itself.
Amazing!

Alcoholicby HavokComment: Lovely image - fantastic high contrast and I really like the shapes of the moulded glass. I don't know that the choice of crop works for me - I want to see more or less of the left hand bottle, but I like the crop/ position of the right hand one a lot.

Blues in the Nightby crabappl3Comment: This image really has great ambience - the "night" reference in the title is very appropriate. It has a menacing, silent quality.
I like the lighting and the composition too.
Not sure about the border.

Message in glassby tpoultonComment: I love thta this is not just "glass" but a story - I can daydream a whole tale to go with it...
Nice composition, nice DOF but let down for me by the left hand side - what is that shadowed object?

Bad Ass Glassby scab-labComment: This is a lovely image - I love the juxtaposition (oh my god, hark at me, I'm using the word "juxtaposition" with a straight face) of the glass, water and ice with the bowl/ vase behind.
I like the curves against the straight edges of the ice cubes - the curves behind really are spectacular - especially in the gradiation of colour.
I'm not really into blue as a colour but this is a wonderful image.
