The young man and the seaby willemComment: Beautiful light and texture and nice silhouette shape and pose. I think he's a touch too close to the top of the frame though - I'd say he could do with being as far from the top edge as he is from the right edge. A great silhouette though, very nice. |

Silence like a graveyardby agwrightComment: From the thumbnail I did think this would be a rather mundane image but your unusual viewpoint has certainly added interest - there is a strong feeling of scale. There is also a wonderful feeling of longevity conveyed by the texture on the foreground tombstone. The clear blue sky makes a great backdrop to the solid earthy stone. |

voices that will not silence...by Amor_E_MorteComment: I like the "shapes" in this - the triangle within her bent arm and face, the oval of her face, the checkered print shirt. Her eyes looking upwards certainly make me think that she is focused on what's going on in her head - we often look upwards when thinking. Expression on her face good too. Don't like textured surface of background wall at all though. |

Earplugsby helgihelgiComment: Strangely appealing, excellent composition - feels so balanced. Nice use of light and DOF. Great abstract, though using recognisable items which clearly relate to challenge theme. |

Emptyby addiBangsiComment: What an unusual image. Interesting use of colour and lighting. In terms of composition, I like the use of negative space, but would position the face just a touch further in from the edge of the frame. |

Calm After the Stormby tomjComment: Wonderful framing - I love the way the tree trunk, foliage and foreground grass all coalesce into one flowing frame. And I like the way her silhouette fuses into that mass too and yet is separate from it. The snow on the ground is essential as it provides a balancing white area to that of the sky, an area which is nicely interrupted by the tree. Overall, the image is one of contemplation in a quiet corner. 8 |

The Screaming Sunby Everyday ReneeComment: A striking image and I love your choice not to be restricted by the rule of thirds - giving the majority of the frame over to that sky really enhances the composition and makes the two silhouettes seem tinier in the vastness. The light from the clouds is wonderful though, in places, a touch too much so, in that it overpowers the beautiful rays filtering out through the clouds. Good move to include those bare foreground branches - it does add something I think. Overall a lovely image! 9 |

Field at Restby gingerbakerComment: A touch too blue overall but very serene, love the curving line of the fence and the long shadow of the tree. 8 |
