A ship in the night.by arngrimurComment: At first glance the darkness seems too much and then... it begins to draw you in and you lean forward to see the detail. A marvellously composed scene.

growby arngrimurComment: Came across your portfolio after noticing your recent comments on my hub's portfolio! I really like this. I like how the movement of the grass makes some of the blades translucent. Lovely texture and colour. I can imagine this framed as one of a series of similar abstract images of flora. |

Cubismby gandersComment: Well it's a shame most people didn't get the humour of entering an image of stock cubes into a stock photography challenge but I think it's very funny. And I also think it's a well-composed and balanced image with good use of slightly shallow DOF and of colour. |

Focusby SjonComment: Clever! Would also work very well in the Stock Photography challenge. (Bet you're already sick of that comment!) Only quibble is the way the edge of the stand fits into the lower left corner of the frame - doesn't sit right for me. |

Beloved Friend IIby sherComment: This one really evokes times gone by, not only because of the well-loved toy but by your use of a lot of natural wood in the background and the toned black and white. Nice one!

Boy to Manby ImagineerComment: Great mood to this shot. I love the worn wooden deck of the bridge and the contrast between it's texture and that of the wonderfully skewed metal side panels. Composition is superb with the swooping curve of the suspension cables plus the echo between deck and clear sky. I don't know whether the nostalgic feel comes from my having read your comments or from the image itself... |

Great Courtby AndrewTOComment: Isn't it a beautiful building? I have a vaguely similar shot in my challenge entries portfolio from way back - soooo photogenic isn't it? Did you go inside the library to get a good look at the ceiling from in there? Cool eh?
PS The exposure seems a little out. It might be worth adjusting levels to bring the details of the stone building out more? |

Meditationby BobsterLobsterComment: Fantastic composition. The frame itself feels like the enclosing walls of a small room. The almost silhouetted presentation of the model works well. I like the green tones. And lots of wonderful lines and textures. |
