So this fits the challenge 2 ways; it's a stock cube and in a stock photography style!

Taken in the back garden on a white card; no flash, just shaded sunshine - using the Sigma 18-125 at the 125mm end, auto focus, normal exposure.

Cropped, levels, contrast and brightness and some very light cloning to clean up the cubes a little and make the edge of the box look tidier.

Have mercy on my shallow depth of field :-)

Hello!
I dont know how useful this is as a stock photograph so I will leave that comment to others and just focus on the image and how it was presented. I actually like your very shallow depth of field. It might be the strongest part of this picture. Your composition is good although I think the box needed to be closed or the top included. The top part of the box is bothersome as my eye keeps wondering up there away from the cubes. I think I would have rather preferred the background to be darker than the foreground under the the box and cubes. I think that would have kept my attention more down in front. Overall, I think you did a good job.

Good in a technical sense, but as a stock photo, who would purchase this other than the Oxo company?

Well it's a shame most people didn't get the humour of entering an image of stock cubes into a stock photography challenge but I think it's very funny. And I also think it's a well-composed and balanced image with good use of slightly shallow DOF and of colour.

good image and composition. bad for stock though, with such a prominent brand name

Good product shot even though I have no idea what the product is.

This seems a bit brand specific for me. Is this something that is popular where you live? Never seen or heard of OXO Beef before...

Good advertisment shot but not a stock photo. Unless you mean beef stock :)

I think focus is too soft in the background.

shame you cropped the top of the box off as it kind of throws the composition slightly.

It's almost as if you are trying to do the "enitire" ad....whereas you should be trying for a picture of just a "subject" that a marketer could use in composing an ad.
