annaby peeteComment: A really natural feel to her expression which is often missing from studio portraits and also a good composition, fun use of a fan to whip up her hair and really nice lighting. A very strong portrait! |

Sailor's songby rhipsterComment: An unusual interpretation. I like how you have chosen to share a beautiful emotion being felt by an artist conveying beautiful music to a no-doubt appreciative audience. Nice lighting and excellent composition too. |

Nature's Beauty by MarjoComment: Great capture! Having spent a couple of hours trying to capture some of these critters (using a hand held zoom with a fairly slow maximum aperture) I totally appreciate the crispness and composition of yours! The only negative for me is the quality/ colour of the light - it seems very flat and doesn't make the bird "sing" to me. |

Field of Dreamsby elsapoComment: What an unusual shot! Beautiful and distinctive colour palette, a composition that really stands out from the norm and fantastic detail on the butterfly with perfect, perfect background. A straight 10! |

Emergingby arpitaComment: Beautiful abstract floral study with wonderful colours and shapes. Love the softness of the shallow DOF. |

Triangles, Engineered to Lastby 2ShayComment: Centred composition works well. I like the way the object seems to be floating. Lighting is generally OK - too strong would mean losing the nice detail on the metal work moulding - but it's not very even. The lower left area of the frame seems darker than the rest. Perhaps a light reflector might help with that? In terms of content, it's not an exciting shot, though it certainly meets the challenge and is well executed. My main reaction is, nicely done shot of a quirky object, move on. I need something more to hook my attention. |

The Tie That Bindsby sherComment: Intriguing, almost abstract image of a rope on the beach. Feels a touch tilted but I love the way the rope leads me in. Nicely toned too. |

jackhammerby art-ineptComment: Nice idea, composition works well, centred along one axis but with the focal point on the horizontal lower third. |
