Such a beautiful image... a lovely sky, stunning sun and absolutely perfect composition. However, though I'm not normally one of the "does not meet the challenge" brigade, this just doesn't conform even vaguely to my understanding of leading lines as a composition tool so it's not scoring as highly as it would in a challenge where I felt it met the theme better.

Reminds me of E301's //www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=169761 image.
A lovely use of lines, of strong light creating strong shadows and beautifully composed too.
Is the title a nod to the film/ book, Girl Interruped?

Oooh, I like the silver and blue. This really shows the wonderful reflective qualities of metal and I like how you combine three very different metal surfaces - smooth spoon, crinkled foil nad dimpled ball. Quirky viewpoint and composition work well though bottom of spoon feels a bit tightly cropped - could do with a touch more space below and to right of it? If I were voting I'd probably give this about a 6 or a 7.

I like the shot a lot but since you asked in forums for negative reactions, I'll give you my main niggle - the glowing of his eye - it makes this creepy in a sci-fi way rather than ominous in a more unsettling way. Other than that I think it's excellent - the unusual compositional placement makes it feel off-balance which is perfect for the subject matter. The subtle lighting lets most of the subject remain in shadow, adding greatly to the atmosphere created and the enigmatic nature of the image.

PS I didn't vote but would have given a 7 or thereabouts, so am not one of those you were seeking when soliciting opinions. However since I had a negative reaction to offer to one small aspect, I thought I'd post.

Simplicity can work so well. This doesn't blow me away but it does make me stop and look and feel calm at the evident compositional balance. Nice.

Certainly different and kinda interesting. Bit of a strong contrast between top and rest of balls things though?

Nicely done, nice DOF too. Crop feels a touch too tight along top.
