The "egg" is actually a hammered metal table lamp.

Shot early evening to get the long white light for the reflection on the spoon (through a doorway), and used a neon blue table lamp for the blue effect.

Desaturated the yellows and reds to remove sodium glare from spot lights and extraneous reflections from my walls.

Very original, colorful, and just plain nice to look at! Cool!

The lighting is very effective in this shot. Nice going.

Oooh, I like the silver and blue. This really shows the wonderful reflective qualities of metal and I like how you combine three very different metal surfaces - smooth spoon, crinkled foil nad dimpled ball. Quirky viewpoint and composition work well though bottom of spoon feels a bit tightly cropped - could do with a touch more space below and to right of it? If I were voting I'd probably give this about a 6 or a 7.

You get creativity points.

Only item I found distracting was the fact that all of the metal surfaces are reflecting the blue lighting, except the "bowl" of the spoon. The overall effect is that I can't gauge if the "blue" areas are the main focus, or the bowl of the spoon.

Good shades. Lots of metal. But somehow not a very interesting pic. Remember, photogrphy is not about capturing moments or objects, but to make them look interesting.

my goal is to comment on every photo in this challenge..heres urs..good luck. 2nd pass to make a comment....i think i would have left the spoon out of the photo. i like the blue light as it adds a certain drama and fun feel to this..bumpin up from 6 to 9 after close study.

let me guess - tin foil wraped around a golf ball?

I really like the use of color in this photo subtle but not overwhelming.

My only problem with this shot is the spoon. There are a lot of shots with kitchen utensils - to easy and it adds nothing to your shot other than to support the title. If the angle was slightly different and the background uniform (not the gray on the right) and drop the spoon and it would have been a much stronger entry.
