His own worldby patrinusComment: Good composition, splitting screen between main subject and girl behind and I like how, even though shallow DOF does isolate him, you have retained enough detail in the girl that her expression is still visible. Nice detail on his skin, nice close cropping. |

Faith Aloneby muur88Comment: This shot really captures the weariness of this individual. I like the way the shallow DOF creates a colourful abstract painting behind him - it contrasts well with his muted demeanor. I think composition would be improved by giving more space infront of him than behind him though I guess current composition could be said to reflect the fact that he's walking away from the lively scene behind him. |

In a world of her ownby LalliSigComment: She must have been standing as still as a statue for you to capture this as sharply as you have given the length of exposure... I like your composition, with the diagonals providing structure and I really like how you've really conveyed the sense both of a moment in time and of time passing. Very clever! |

Approaching Stormby dsidwellComment: I remember this image well from when I first saw it (and I think I commented then on how much I liked it). Lovely saturation of colour and what a wonderful quality of light. |

Flight by jemisonComment: How beautiful! You've captured the light and morning mis so wonderfully! I love the way the mist gives depth by creating halos around the tree tops and also the way the sun lights up many of the balloons. |

Captivatedby scalvertComment: Beautiful portrait - love the composition with head on the right of frame looking to the left. Eye detail, colour and catch light are great. Nice DOF choice blurring background but still showing a touch of the environment nonetheless. Nice one! |

A Glimmer of Hopeby HRoxasComment: Wonderful use of lighting to evoke a mood. That shaft of light from window to person is great. Like the obvious lines on both floor and ceiling - they give a real sense of perspective/ depth. Like too the textures of wood and brick and metal. The warm tones are great too. This is a really intriguing and well exectured image that makes me look and look. |

Sheby bucketComment: Funky! I like that you've cropped away the head - makes it at once universal and private/ intimate. Great composition. Yellow lighting actually works well. The colour noise seems a bit high - particularly obvious on her skin. |
