South Costby asijComment: It's unfortunate that the offshore rock is so centrally located vertically. It rather destroys the dynamics of the composition, making it really static as it fights to counter the proud sweep of the coastline. This actually wprks better for me in a squarish crop with the rock completely eliminated. It has much more of a sense of sweeping depth that way. Try it yourself and see what you think. |

The Aftermathby SchuffComment: Defintely clone out the limb lower right. This is a very nice shot. I think you can get more luminosity out of it with judicious levels and curves, though. It's worth a try. It's just shy of really singing. |

Sky Fallsby SchuffComment: I never worry about so-called "printable ratios"; I make the image be the best it can be and worry about all that later. Youc an always create a print file that inludes white borders to regularize it for a generic print service like DOC.
This image, anyway, seems to me the most blah of the 4. It really doesn't compel my attention. |

Canyon Crestby SchuffComment: This feels to me like it's leaning over to the right. I'd try maybe a degree or 2 of CCW rotation. Maybe crop a bit off the left so it's not quite so centered, but the centering basically works. |

Big Timber Fallsby SchuffComment: I don't mind the tree at all, it lends depth,a nd after all the nAME of the falls is "Big Timber Falls" :-) I'd think about cloning the branches from the upper falls though. It's a nice shot, though it seems a little muddy in color. Try some hue/sat adjustment to perk it up? |

sweet dreamby asijComment: Lovely. Have you cropped any off the left? I find myself wishing for a hair more space over there. |

Prayerby asijComment: Very strange image. It is very noisy, not necessarily a bad thing but a little rough-looking since there is noticeable haloing around the cross and figure both, probably introduced in post processing (levels or USM) but possibly (since this appears to be an extreme crop) a function of in-camera high sharpening. I'd like to see an original on this. The hair is so bizarre that there's great potential in the shot.
My e-mail is on my profile if you want to send it. |

alone in the rainby asijComment: This one leaves me a little cold. The red figure is so artificial looking it almost makes me believe it's a toy action figure, not the real thing. The surface looks very plastic, probably due to extreme oversaturation of the red channel. |

My daugterby asijComment: She's darling! Great, luminous tones. BG is very detracting, to me. I'd consider coming in on the crop. |

Blue Skyby asijComment: WOW. Living proof that not all Iceland scenics look like they've been burned & dodged, LOL. This is a nice landscape, beautifully rendered as far as tonalities and color values go. It lacks the killer focal point, but it's really nice. |
