Brief encounterby jjbeguinComment: GREAT shot, strong and imaginative. Very strong entry, and not a cookie-cutter shot to boot. I hope it does well. |

Gone Fishinby Travis99Comment: This is wonderfully evocative. While it's not truly "minimalist" in the pure sense of the term, it fits the challengedescription to a tee IMO. I wish you'd cropped out the OOF leaves on the right, though; they're distracting. Stron entry. |

a grey day in montereyby kmbr2001Comment: This is really sweet. It's so close to perfect in its balance that I find myself REAKKY wishing you'd taken the time to square the horizon precisely; that would make a noticeable difference on this image. I love the tonalities of it. |

Full Throttle through Turn 3by SkipComment: This works quite well for me. The tonalities and angles of it are very forceful, they produce a strong sense of motion and direction. I wish the car were a hair further out from the right edge, but that's a nit. It may be that some people will vote this low for having no truly sharp zone, but the overall blur works for me. |

Window Washerby bobdaveantComment: I like this quite a lot. It's very pure. I'd like it more if the verticals were squared up better, since geomtery's so important here, but there's not much you could to about that in basic editing. |

Glassford Hillby justineComment: This works very well for me. it's the connection of the cloud to the hill that does it. I suspect others may think the hill's "not the subject" of this image, but I don't agree. Strong entry in my book. |

Impressions of Fallby NeilComment: I'm in the "like it" camp. I don't require clarity of color and form as an exclusive diet. The image is very anthropomorphic, it's evocative in that way; I can read suggestions of storylines into it, and yet it's truly abstract. It makes a nice counterpoint to your more vivid abstracts. |

Scissor Girlby willow_zzenComment: Hands'down winner for the mondo bizarro ribbon in this challenge. I wish the foreward handle weren't occluding the eye socket, though. |
