Fijian Black Pearlsby dkubinComment: The pearls are beautifully rendered here. I like the inline as well. The photo's very "commercial" (as opposed to artistic), which is what I take the challenge to be about. Or, rather, this is a challenge in which "commercial" can be an asset. Good job. |

From the Gold Boxby loveComment: One of the few times I've loved such a heavy special effect. Strong image, good field waiting for text. |

What is in the darkby jigglebugComment: Strikingly original image, and a very evocative one. I appreciate all of it, the artistic decisions invoved in the blur, the grain, the blown-out areas. Very high score from me. Good luck! I suspect you'll need it :-) Feel free to PM me and let me know how you're doing, I'm done with voting on this challenge. |

Sunset Feeding by StagoleeComment: I want to hate this one for the extremely garish, manipulated orange, but I keep coming back to it with a smile. Good job. |

This Wayby SiRaComment: Really nice IMO. Some may argue as to whether the car or the sign is the subject, but not me. |

Hand Stand Manby SalarComment: This is quite striking and very amusing too in an odd way. In my eyes its quite flawed in its obvious lean tot he right. I wish you'd squared it up; the handstand guy, obviously (at least IMO) should be on true vertical, or how could he hold his pose? |

Orange # 5by LowLghtComment: Truly minimalist image, very well done. I wonder how it would work with a hair more background and a bit less foreground? there seems to be a bit too much white for optimal balance. But all in all, I really like this one. |

Texas Vistaby crabappl3Comment: Really nice capture. Works well for me. When I lay a rule on the horizon it's almost bang-on squared up, but there's an overall sense of lean to the left because the black area on the left is so massive. I think it would balance better if it were rotatted ccw a quarter of a degree or so. Perhaps a tad more shadow detail, but that may be a monitor issue. Strong entry. |
