Lighthouse_1142590-edby GeneralEComment: Wow, that is much improved! Thank you for your edits and the screen prints of how you did them! I have been working at post processing skills, watching videos and toiling away in Lightroom. I think it is time to jump into Photoshop as I can't do what I want w/ Lightroom. I also tried NIK and Topaz, for their free trial period, but really only frustrated myself, as each software package seems to require hours of practice before you get any usable benefit. As usual, too many interests and not enough hours to pursue them all!

Smoke_IMG_4352-Lt3-R-RS25by GeneralEComment: This made me think of the Rockettes. It looks like an abstract of a chorus line of dancing girls. Very pretty and nice texture. |

Yellow and redby hajekaComment: Didn't have time to comment during the challenge....
I really like this image. The colors are very pleasing and I love the detail of the veins in the petal in the upper right corner.
I thought this was spot on for this art challenge and gave you a 7. If I hadn't had computer problems I would have bumped this to at least an 8. |

Museum qualityby bob350Comment: Interesting comment on how monitor settings and light change this image. This is a big problem for me right now, so I can feel your pain.
For me the reddish cast to the image was a bit distracting. Great attempt at defining what is art to you! |

There is a name for this line, other than S curve by UrhoComment: I liked this image, sorry it didn't do better overall. I like the colors and the interesting path of the road. I guess I am just a sucker for strong leading lines and roads!! The sky is quite nice too. |

Steel and Foamby GeneralEComment: Didn't get around to commenting on this in the challenge....
Funny thing is the thumb nail for this image jumped out at me right away. It was one of the fist images I viewed in the challenge. But, I didn't like it as much full size.... something got a bit lost from thumbnail to full size. I think stainless is really hard to photograph, and maybe that is the issue. The composition of the shot was interesting but the relationship of the background to the subject got muddied. |

Twizzleby Hey_You_3000Comment: I liked this image and gave it a "7". I liked the iridescent look to the beads and I know how hard it can be to get a good image of this type of subject. Obviously the rest of the voters didn't appreciate it, but I want you to know I did! |

Day becomes Nightby RyanWComment: My initial reaction to this image was not real positive, but then I took into account that this is an ART challenge and I figured that anyone who took the time to enter a "non-traditional" photo was in fact being artistic! So I think the jarringness (is that a word?) of the photo is part of your intended process.
I would suggest that you clone out your sensor dust in the future. The spots are a bit distracting. |
