No more mr. Nice Guyby NazgulComment: Great Alice image. He'd love it, especially the way his face looks (he & I are nearly the same age & my face looks like that without makeup). The white spot light adds a lot of impact to your photograph. 7 |

Bluesby TooCoolComment: Man those eyes have got the blues! This is a beautiful, evocative capture. As well as being a technically fine photograph, what I especially admire is the mood you've created; so sympathetic to this musical genre. Of course, the guy is responsible for a lot of that ... he's the perfect bluesman! 9 |

Sounds of the Undergroundby PixelstateComment: Very nice. Effective composition and a powerful capture of the connection between the musician and the passing couple. Eye contact, both ways. Also a meticulously exposed and processed image. 9 |

From the Heartby MontereykiddoComment: A very intense photograph, stripped to the bare essentials, and all the more successful for it. 8 |

Ninety And Cookin'by lshlesComment: Love it, and I applaud your decision to go with just the hands. Presumably this musician has a face that's as interesting as these marvellous hands, but your approach, leaving the face to the viewer's imagination, appeals to me more. 9 |

Joyby mmusicanteComment: This is nice, with a perfect title for the feel you've created. Amid all the joy-less comments you'll be getting about blown highlights, I'd like to say that I think your decision to expose & process the photograph this way is very clever. It establishes the relationship between the sax and the man's rapt expression as the visual hinge on which your image swings. So the peripheral margins aren't blown at all; they're just unimportant, to the man as well as to us. Bravo. 9 |

Cool Dudeby BKerrComment: Love bass. Used to play one, but I never looked as cool as this guy. It's a nice composition and a crisp, professional-looking image. 7 |

Danny "Boy" Guneratneby ergoComment: Good Grief! Is this a Sri Lankan bagpipe player? I can't imagine what that might sound like, but it looks pretty good in your photograph. I particularly like the expression on the second musician, which adds a lot of interest to the image. 7 |
