fading from memoryby posthumousComment: Wish I had voted in this challenge so I could have given you a 10. I would have, too, just to piss off the collusion police. |

metropolisby 4trtoneComment: Wonderfully ambivalent, contrarian photograph. A low fidelity photograph with a high fidelity resonance. If only more people appreciated how that contradiction works!
My top pick in this challenge (10). Thank you. |

of things to comeby posthumousComment: Plenty to enjoy here. Anthropomorphic shape looks like it's moonwalking out of a follow spot. Top three pick for me. Thank you. |

Night Movesby LydiaComment: I like the uncertain orientation, and I admire the perfect exposure. I will forgive you for the blatant lack of grain, noise, blur or any other 'flaws'. Just this once. Thank you. |

Mysterious Kôrby rooumComment: Just enough nothing to be something, and vice-versa. I enjoyed the little excursion it took me on, as a relief from the many tedious literalist images that will no doubt finish much higher in the challenge results. Thank you. |

barra inversaby natureproseComment: Yes I suppose it is (a barra inversa). Whatever it is, it's an interesting image with some very absorbing details of both colour & texture. I'm enjoying playing with the idea that it is a picture of something very small, or of something very big. I don't care which is true; I like it either way. So both is true. Thank you. |

Herring Gulls, Orchard Beach by Bear_MusicComment: So ... I had indeed underestimated your gulls at 4th pick. Sorry bout that! This might be the first time ever that one of my top picks got a real ribbon as opposed to the contrarian type. Congrats, Robert. |

Your laugh is a sudden silvery spoon.by whiteroomComment: Hope lives in small spaces
flies its whispered banners there
Life is lived in quiet places
a hearth, a heart, a bowl, a chair
The empty crosses on the hilltops
proclaim not faith but mortal fear
The lines of laundry are our triumph
proof of life and everywhere |

Abstractions #045by rooumComment: Aperture 2.0? If it had been 22.0 then I would have said these abstractions were sensor dust. Damn fine sensor dust, too. But they might just be starlings or the like, I suppose. In which case they are damn fine starlings. |
