Planet-Denali.jpgby davidwComment: a very unusual and interesting miniplanet! I wish there was more continuity in exposure, and the sharp break at 3 o'clock throws me off a bit. |

carefreeby ursulaComment: Classic Ursula shot! Amazing atmosphere and light, the only thing (which probably is my fault not yours), that these wonderful mini-rainbows remind me a little bit much-dreaded digital noise. Shows how our perceptions are being shaped by our experiences, I am sure a non-photographer would not have this issue, LOL. |

Puddledby MelethiaComment: less interesting than your entry IMO, but you are right - it would definitely score higher. Amazing clarity in the reflection! |

Sunspotsby MelethiaComment: I gave it a 6. I loved the contre-jour lighting and the tilt, and the kid is great. One thing I did not like much were the christmas colors of the glare, they stand out too much. I would probably just make everything sepia (it is almost sepia as it is already). Good shot regardless! |

Lashesby PaulComment: very nice lighting (Rembrandt type) and focus is exactly where it needs to be. And even selective desat (which I usually hate) works here, although I personally would get rid of it still - especially in a shot called "Lashes" :). Too bad you had to pull it (but you may still use it in Best of 2009!)
