Love- A Bridge Between Two Heartsby gsquiggleComment: I like the way the bridge and the railings lead the viewer to the couple. The concept here is clever. Something doesn't feel right. I think it's the lighting. Kind of like you were a little late for the last light of day, or too early to get a good full silhouette. I hope I'm describing my thoughts on this in an understandable manner...if not, I apologize for being long-winded. ;^)
Good luck in the challenge. |

Amourby JPRComment: Well composed. Interesting tone with the mustard yellow color. I do have to wonder, who's walking around with a bicycle back tire? ;^) Good luck in the challenge. |

"Love Is....."by JudiComment: Staged or not, I love this image! Obviously, the background sunset could stand on it's own, but compositionally, the addition of the children works wonderfully. I like the low horizon in the way this was framed also. I hope people don't think you oversaturated the sky, because I've seen skies like this straight out of the camera. Bumping this to a 10. |

Mockingbirdby novaComment: Nice Ray! I like it. One thing I really like about it is the way the bird is looking back over its shoulder. Good detail on the bird - looks almost like you could reach out and touch it! ;^) You can do a lot of things with that background (easily select the color, replace it...you know, maybe white? catch my drift? he-he).
Smile and keep having fun!

princeby mesmerajComment: Creeping around on hands & knees to see this one? ;^) I really like the compostion and earthy tones. Nice job of focusing and capturing the clarity of the frog's eye. Well done. Top 3 pick for me. Good luck! |

Buzz Off Birdie!by nidiciComment: At first glance you don't see the turtle because of the bird (which is wonderfully backlit I might add). Once I noticed it I had a good chuckle. ;^) Very good timing to see and capture this. Title is cute, and helpful. One of my top 3 picks for the challenge. Good luck! |

Whoooo me?by shes_troubleComment: Very cool capture, getting this owl out in the open like this! Wonderful camouflage it has. Nice focus and clarity. Didn't oversharpen. Looks like a glint of light in the eyes...did you use fill-in flash? Just curious. Only nitpick is the centering of the subject but it's not costing you anything in scoring points from me. One of my top 3 picks.
Good luck in the challenge. ;^) |

Tweet Tweetby floydroweComment: You did a nice job of blurring the background with your exposure/DOF setup. The bird is well lit and focused. I guess technically this shot is hitting it pretty much right on. Something in the subject matter itself that is just "OK". Many, many, birds in this challenge and to score higher with a common subject is going to take something unique. JMO.
Good luck in the challenge, and take care! ;^) |
