Birches against the Brushby JEFFJSBComment: David? Hmmm...looks like one of my favorite shots by dsidwell. [thumb]233699[/thumb]
If not, take it as a compliment as he's racked up some impressive photo's here. ;^)
Good choice IMO for the Duotones II challenge. Hope it does well for you in the challenge. |

Wiredby PrismComment: I like the tone and subject of this image. Kind of wish it wasn't squared out. I think a more landscaped presentation would suit the lines in this better. JMO. ;^) Good luck in the challenge. |

National Past Timeby yankoComment: Wondeful texture and tone in this image. Good use of lighting to highlight without having to dodge/burn. Well done. |

no nameby pearlseyesComment: Interesting image. Almost looks to be mirrored (I know it isn't). Good use of overcast skies to get out and take some fun photos. Natural Black & White. ;^)
Smile and keep having fun! |

i'm on magazinesby anaperaltaComment: Took me a while to figure out what was going on here. Now that I have it (I think), I'm not sure if I like it yet or not. Interesting take on the challenge for sure...creativity points. Wondering how it would look with a bit more light. Hmmm... Well, you've stopped me, made me look. ;^) 5 from me for now. Good luck in the challenge. |

Blueby KivetComment: High-key approach taken here or overexposed? I like the composition and feel of the image overall. The sheet has to go however. The background is very distracting...an iron would have helped here. Good luck in the challenge. 6 from me. |

The Fashion of the Suspiciousby saphireComment: Interesting image. The guy in the background (white shirt and dark jacket with sunglasses) looking at the camera makes me wonder about the setup. Is the primary subject (brown jacket, hat, and glasses) the photographer? Is there a tripod setup on the sidewalk? Maybe the subject is a stranger? So many questions! That's a good thing in a way...makes people think.
Technically the image is "OK". Primary subject doesn't appear as sharp/focused as I would like to see. I wonder about the ISO also as there seems to be some noise.
Interesting approach to the challenge. 6 from me. Good luck in the challenge. |

Western Flairby slgardnerComment: Attractive model. Nice tone used for coloration. Location for the shoot is "OK" - a little bit too interesting and the eye wanders away from the subject to look at the rest of the story. Otherwise, well done. Good luck in the challenge. |

Hot Fashion Plateby IndigoButterflyComment: And the creative winner award goes to...? ;^) Very clever shot. Fun concept and implemented quite well. Lighting is a little hot on the right shoe (left for the viewer). Biggest complaint I have is the towel (?) that was used for a tablecloth. Good luck in the challenge. |

From Russia with love by unnevaComment: I think I remember this young lady from another well prepared image in another challenge some time ago. Very attractive...hard to forget. ;^) I like the approach you've taken with the fasion piece - very trendy, nice pose by the model, great attention to the details (lighting, exposure, focus, etc...). Some nitpicking to do on the hair showing under her left hand. This leads to the fuzzies (?) on her visible gloved hand. Minor, I know.
This shot would be a fine image for publication. Well done. |
