Back Flipby FirstyComment: Oh yeah...here we go. Well done! Great composition. Good focus. Lighting is on the money. Cool background with the cloudy sky, and hey, get this...no motion blur! Hooray! ;^) Should see this one on the front page come rollover on Monday. Congrats in advance! |

Gull In Flightby FromacComment: Well composed with the bird flying into the frame. Good detail on the bird as it's well focused and not blurred at all. I think the only thing that's going to hurt you is the chosen subject...there are a lot of seagull shots. Not saying that's right or wrong...just making an observation. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

A Flight In The Woodsby toddgrayComment: Pretty bird...nice panning shot. Only bummer is that the bird isn't really in focus as you have some blur on the bird. So close! Panning shots are difficult to achieve without blurring the subject. I do like the rich color in the background. It really helps make the white bird stand out. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Worst singer in the worldby BoltiComment: You're funny! ;^) Should have had some rotten tomatoes already on his shirt. You've done a nice job of capturing the water and stopping the motion with the correct shutter speed. Lighting is good and the focus is right on the mark. Overall, well done! Humor should buy you a point or two...he-he. Good luck in the challenge. |

High Flyerby lentilComment: This youngster looks happy! ;^) Fun image you've captured here. Couple of minor things to throw at you; 1) seems to be a blueish cast to the image - may want to check the color temp or your white balance 2) shutter speed wasn't quite quick enough to stop all motion as the feet are blurry. Other than that - nice capture. All of the above is obviously JMO of course. ;^) Good luck in the challenge. |

Need for Speedby cabaComment: Good job of stopping the action here. I also want to say bravo on exposing the water properly. The surfer is coming into the image at a nice angle. This works very well, as does the natural line formed by the surf. Good luck in the challenge. |

Wind Poweredby tmhallingComment: This is good. Nice focus, good stopped motion. Your choice of composition with some of the sail left out is a good choice IMO. Funny seeing the powerline structure in the background. ;^) Nice capture. Good luck. |

and sugar, pleaseby naplesmuscComment: This could be a stock type photo. It's interesting to look at but doesn't really convey the message of 'Stopping Motion' for the challenge. Yes, I know, the cream is mixing with the tea/coffee - I'm making the point from a general viewer stand point. Many DPC voters are fast and are going to miss the message or find the subject a bit too mellow if you know what I mean. JMO of course. Best of luck in the challenge to you. |

In Flight For Foodby Dirt_DiverComment: You've stopped the motion, as the challenge theme requests. That's good. The bird isn't quite in focus thou. :( You've almost gotten too tight with your subject in the frame. Usually, something moving should have a little space in front of it to "move into" so to speak. The water and sky in the background are a little hazy, and the horizon is tilted left. Just observations. Best of luck to you in the challenge. Keep at it! |

Sand in all the wrong placesby bobdaveantComment: Good catch. ;^) The thing I like about this is you've stopped the motion, per the challenge theme, and have also managed to diminish the background (person legs) enough to give more impact to the subject. Can almost feel like you're there when looking at this...that's a compliment! ;^) Good luck in the challenge. |
