I like this very much. I do wish however that the background was a true white instead of grey. The shadow adds a nice element to the composition. Lighting may be a little hot - very hard to illuminate shiny surfaces. Perhaps a diffuser? Anyway, overall a job well done. Good luck in the challenge.

Very cool in an abstract way. Not sure how this fits the challenge, but still a neat photo nonetheless. Technically, I think your DOF is too shallow. The angle I'm sure impacted this and I'm not sure how you could have changed it. Step back and then crop it in in post? Would need good glass and a low ISO to pull that off. All JMO of course. :D Best of luck to you in the challenge.

Hmmm...nice photo. Not sure how this is going to be received by the majority as for meeting the challenge. Personally, I think the connection is quite thin because the trees are really your background with the fog being the subject IMO. Anyway, best of luck to you in the challenge.

What a wonderful subject and location (with the snow) for this shot. Good detail in the dog, but you've not gotten the whites truly white as the snow looks beige. Just a little tweaking with B/W points or curves and this would move up substantially IMO. Best of luck to you in the challenge.

This works "ok". I think you lost a little bit of detail in the flower petals somewhere in the process. Not bad, but not jumping out and saying "wow, look at this". Hope you know what I mean by this. Haven't decided if I like the shadow or not. I think it adds more than distracts because of the size of your subject in the framing of this composition. All JMO of course. :D Best of luck to you in the challenge.

Very nice job of keeping the details of your subject and working in a white background. It's too bad you couldn't keep the horses attention while taking this shot (ears are pointed back) - I know personally how challenging that can be. :D Overall, nicely done. Good luck in the challenge.

Right concept with a nice subject. Somehow, not much seems in focus. Maybe because it's all muted a bit (sorry, not sure how else to describe it). Could be the condensation on the glass and glare from the lighting around the top (area without condensation)? The background seems more yellow than white (really evident from the thumbnail view). I like the composition with the off-centering and upper-right placement of the glass. Good luck in the challenge.

Ok, well I guess you have light on white technically. The lace tablecloth allows the areas under and behind to show thru which takes away from the "white" substantially. Question for you; where did the milk come from - the milk bottle is full? :D The cookies at the bottom feel like an afterthought. I think it's because of the color and they aren't sharp like the rest of the image (kind of seem small in comparison also). Some big Amos cookies or something would have worked a little better IMO. All of the above is JMO of course. Best of luck to you in the challenge.

This works well. Nice catch! Hopefully not everyone can see this, but on my monitor I can see a fairly wide halo around the swans. It looks like maybe the feathering area from a selection to isolate the swans for some post-processing treatment? A few diagonal white streaks showing in the lower right area also...some branches removed maybe? All speculation of course. :D Well done overall. Good luck in the challenge.

I like this personally, but I think your voting curve is going to end up a little polarized because soft focus is often misunderstood. The soft focus here does two things; helps to obscure bg elements (seams, etc...) and it adds a nice dreamy look with the nice muted colors. May not be quite white enough in your background to reach full scoring potential. All JMO of course. :D Good luck in the challenge.
