.: Black-capped Chickadee :.by AlainComment: The tone, details, and exposure on this are much stronger than your "outtake" . Compositionally, I like the outtake better. Nice work on both of them, and congratulations on a very fine score!
Take care. |

Hannah on the front porchby JewellyComment: I like the color tones in this shot, and the clarity of her eyes is very nice. The fact that the DOF may be a little shallow is fine IMO as it really brings the viewer to her eyes and lets the rest fall off almost in a soft focus kind of way, which is pleasing in a portrait.
Nice work with your new "toy". Enjoy!!! :D |

lemon dropby guillermo21Comment: Yep, certainly centered. :D Might be a tad over sharpened. As a subject to look at, it's "ok". Nothing really jumping out to say "wow" about IMO. Not a bad photo, just kind of ho-humish. Good luck in the challenge. |

Moment of Peaceby skylercallComment: I like the comtemplative look, however, this image is just too dark (under-exposed) to really evaluate it IMO. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Cat Eyesby rlinn3Comment: Cool shot. Wish it was a little sharper, especially around the eyes. |

Wedding Dayby BlackNewfsComment: I like the way you used the trees for framing. For some reason her face doesn't really jump out here. Is it the surrounding color inside the hood maybe? Hard to explain, it seems like her face isn't "bright" enough - not necessarily exposure. Need that gleem in her eyes...maybe not sharp enough? Sorry for the questions. Just kind of thinking out loud. Good luck in the challenge. |

The Cabinby nroscoeComment: Overall, I like the photo - however, it's not really centered. Could have easily cropped it square to make it work. ??? Did you have anyone available to work the lights in the cabin? Would have been good to have someone turn them off 1 or 2 seconds after the shutter was activated. Just a thought to keep the lights from being overexposed. Good luck in the challenge. |

Canarian Sunsetby zifengwComment: You really need to move that horizon off-center you know. :D Nice job of getting the correct exposure for this. Good luck in the challenge. |

Acorn on Mossby BakerBugComment: Oops, you missed! With the focal plane I mean. The area in front of the acorn is well focused, and just barely into the front surface of the acorn. More impact could have been made with more of the acorn in focus, and perhaps spot metering on the light area of the acorn cap. As it, the highlights in the cap are blown out. I really like the OOF areas in the back, the bokeh is nice. Good luck in the challenge. |
