I like this shot, and the concerted effort of the photographer is quite obvious. But, I'm sorry to say, that IMHO, it's cropped to close, and it's hard to look at. Still a very nice attempt though. I'm still scoring it on the high side.

This photo is sad, and it meets the challenge as it depicts one particular child's childhood, but it is fortunately atypical. Seeing the 'regular' shoes suggests (to me anyway) the success of those orthopaedic correction things, and that is a good thing. Creative and thoughtful on the part of the photographer, and the image is a good one.
