"Siesta"by WangsackComment: I really liked this one, gave a 9, I only wish the background, what looks like a hap-hazard bed pillow, was a pancho or mexican weave blanket - but well blurred so as not to add too much distracting texture as the pillow does. Beautiful lighting! Great hat, nice dof and other textures.
I think living with two boxers would freak me out too, Selena ;)) |

Sweet Dreams 2by FyzarlComment: I really liked this one and scored it high, but I have to agree with clarmore on why it may have not scored higher, plus I think the red in the foreground is a little over-powering, distracts some from your wonderful subject. Otherwise, very nice tonal range and detail. :) |

Contactby PanoComment: I scored you high because I felt it was really well done and I know how difficulst it is to do a fish shot! I only wish the snail was easier to see. Great focus and the translucence is daring. I agree with all the other comments. I guess it didn't strike enough 'cutsie fancies'. |

Dogglesby K-RobComment: Really a great shot, don't know why it did not do better, accept ignorance? My friend has some doggles, and her dog absolutly freezes still when they are on! Great focus and dof, great catch with the tongue! The only thing that bugs me is the yellow reflection under his eye. Gave you a 10 anyways :) |

POWERby megryanComment: Excellent perspective, tonal range, and emotion provoking. I hate it an admire simultaniously. If only the wood prop could have been hidden... |

… there was rotary.by eschmuttComment: Excellent idea and subject. The lighting is poor, I would like to see more of the mouthpiece form inside and out. Also the wrinkles in the planket are very distracting. For studio set-ups you may wish to invest in a sheet of velvet, felt and/or paperboard of black, white, and /or neutral. Velvet is best because it absorbs light that can cause distracting reflections and can give you a totally blank background. Hope that helps, good luck on future studio shots :) |
