A tighter crop would be more appealing without loosing the idea.

Nicely done, great DOF and great positioning against background, saw that before I read the title.

Oops, not a landscape. You'll find that straying from the challenge subject even slightly will get your photo flushed. I think it's cute, well composed, and a little intreguing. Take a look at the tutorial (under the 'learn' button) on how to resize a photo for the web. This quite small. - 5

Oops, not a landscape. Lovely flower tho.
As a photo tho it needs some other changes if you don't mind a little advice for the future. Primarily it is out of focus. Focus and matching the challenge are the two biggest areas in this forum. What would also help is watching the white areas and reflections that they do not get over-exposed. Make sure they are not blaring or devoid of detail. Tipping this to the left about 10 degrees and uncentering the flower may also be more appealing.
Just some thoughts, hopefully not too many. Hope it helps. :) Check out the tutorials under the 'learn' button. So much to learn, but the great thing about DPC is that you loose nothing and only gain from trying!

You'll probably get several negative comments about the frame, there are many who don't care for frames. I personally like them, but this one is too thick and overwhelming IMO. I would love to see more of that beautiful water. Where is this?
